Dear Community Members,
Ar-Rasool sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam told us in a Hadeeth, "A man is upon the religion of his best friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends." This Hadeeth is very important, in general, but it is even more important to pick your company carefully when you go for Hajj, so you can complete your Hajj in light of the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah of Ar-Rasool sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam.
Br Zahid Adetoro was careful in picking his company when he went for Hajj last year with Br Safi and Br Abdussamad. Upon his return, he said:
It gives one peace of mind not only knowing that one is doing the Hajj with 'correctness' but also doing it in a way which fuels ones spirituality. One might think it easy to do this but it is more difficult if a person is not with others who have the same mind set. The spiritual focus of our group was made more evident when I saw how other things easily distracted a lot of other groups around us. I really appreciated being with a group of people who were more prepared for the manasik as well as the difficulties that are evident
