GUI monitoring dashboard in Barman

Hi Folks,

This is really a query and not a bug.

I would like to know, is there a way to monitor/manage backups after completion by way of some GUI screens or dashboards whether or not a particular backup was successful or failed using barman. I understand from the manuals that the whole process of initiating and managing backups and restorations is using the configuration files and command line utility switches but is there a GUI console that comes with Barman that I could use for monitoring ?. If not, then I believe there is a way to integrate monitoring solutions like Zabbix or Nagios using some sort of a template. Could some one please point me to some notes in the manuals or share your experience if some one has done something similar so I can take a direction in implementing a customize solution.

Hi.

I've never saw a UI for Barman.

What I would reccomend you is to restore the database into a test server immediately after the backup, and then you can execute some queries to probe data is there.
Either Zabbix or Nagios are capable of PostgreSQL query execution - and therefore monitoring - but this is another chapter you would look at.
