Backup start failed when timeout but info only in log

Hi,

rsync based backup (server is exhausted on iops):

30 0 * * * barman /usr/bin/barman backup SOMESERVER

2022-05-13 00:38:48,912 [1590886] barman.server ERROR: Check 'check timeout' failed for server 'SOMESERVER'
2022-05-13 00:38:48,942 [1590886] barman.server ERROR: Impossible to start the backup. Check the log for more details, or run 'barman check SOMESERVER'

Problem is, there is no failed backup in "barman list-backup SOMESERVER", because no directory/backup.info is created. We are using https://github.com/JanisOrlovs/zabbix-barman for monitoring and it misses such failed backups due no FAILED backup is listed in backup list.

Suggestion: create directory/backup.info for any backup started

This seems like a reasonable suggestion - I have filed https://github.com/EnterpriseDB/barman/issues/570 to look into this.
