I'm doing a large backup over an unreliable and slow network.
Occassionally, the network connection drops and I have to start the back
up again. Is there a way to have barman resume its backup instead of
marking it as failed? Since most of the work is by rsync and
pg_stop_backup() doesn't get run when the connection drops, can I just
restart the rsync command used, run pg_stop_backup() at the end, and
mark it as successful in the backup.info file in that base backup directory?

That looks like it only works on a single run of the barman backup
command. I already had one fail without that option set and have about
500gigs I'd like to not copy again. Do I likely need to just start all
over and use that option by default next time so this doesn't happen
again or is there a way to get it to resume a backup already marked FAILED?

Thank you,

Hi Chad,

At the moment there is no support for resuming a FAILED backup. I am sorry about that. :'(

Ciao,
Gabriele
