Hi all,
I know this kinda a straight-forward question, but i haven't found the answer for it in the documentation.
what is the default barman password when installing it from an RPM ? barman-1.2.0-1.rhel6.noarch.rpm in my case.

Thanks.

It is a system user, hence no password has been set.

You become barman only through the root user via sudo or su.

You can, even though it is not advised (that's how system users work -
another similar example is the postgres system user).

Cheers,
