I agree, Pablo and Maddie, and believe we’ve got to discuss the necessity of power.  Corporations legally bribe politicians; politicians pay back with votes favorable to corporate interests; working people and their interests are manipulated and ignored, leading to frustrated reactions like “they’re all crooks;” “the game’s rigged;” “a plague on both their houses.”  Door knock enough and you can’t help but hear these expressions of powerlessness.
 
A famous revolutionary said, “the first job of a revolutionary is patiently to explain.”
I think these few lines pinpoint a very specific discussion topic for our group moving forward. It's too much for most folks to get the everyday connection of how corporations are degradating their lives; the impact has to be right here, right now.
