Outreach committee meeting Thursday 11/10

Happy 11/11/11 all!  Might be heading to OLA later to have some fun and occupy a bar if you wanna join!

Wanted to recap our outreach meeting from yesterday!

Glen, Jessica, Dean, and I all met up!

1. Sunday, for outreach, we'll be chatting about setting up a weekly flyering of PCC or other schools.  Wednesday noonish was brought up as a good time, but we wanted more input.
2. Glen is gonna research interest groups in the area to reach out to!
3. Esteban (me) is gonna outreach to a couple local blogs
4. Jessica committed to researching ways we can outreach to various schools/colleges in da area.
5.  I'm gonna put together a flyer (8x11) to ask small businesses to stick them up in their windows!  I'll bring sum copies to the PGA on sunday, we can schedule a day during the week to walk around downtown Dena and ask small business to stick 'em on their windows or leave them on bulletin boards!
6.  Jessica was thinking about making a blogspot page to link up to the site with fliers of all sort uploaded for people to DL on their own and print out to flyer on their own time!

go for it carrie, stick it up and let us know when it's up there!  I have the older--dated--ones that just need the date taken off.  I'm gonna make an 8x10 one for businesses with the little rose logo.

Also, make it one of them pages (tabs) at the top for easy exposure! I can do that if you don't know how  (basically make a "page" in wordpress, then click "appearences" drop down to "menu" click the page you just made and click "add to menu" so it goes up as a tab on the top
