I noticed that there are forms to sign up to participate in the Interoccupy group.  Have we done that?  They seem to be slow in putting groups on their roster so didn't know if we'd been submitted.

If not, I can take care of it.

P.S.  There is a General Call tonight.  I've registered for it as well as the call on Thursday for finance folks.

Forms are a bad idea. Giving out personal info is a bad idea. It’s just a way for people to track you. Who are these people taking down your personal info? People who ask for signatures and addresses are known for running scams as well. Cops will do this sort of thing to build a roster of occupy people. There is no need whatsoever for you to give out personal information to anyone. If you want to do something, drop your bank account. If there is an Interoccupy group, where is it? Where is the website? Who runs it? What is the point of it? Occupy is already a global movement. Interoccupy is a redundancy and possibly a sham. Even if it is legit, how well is this information protected? Identity thieves work by gather bits of information about people. They get a name here. An address there, and soon a credit or a social. Don’t do it.

it's just a place for anyone interested to network and communicate to other activists, you can give a fake name if you want.

I have nothing to lose and don't care if "they" come after me so I'm not real worried about big brother.  I used an alias on the signup anyway.

I know Carrie has been on calls but not sure that Occupy Pasadena has been submitted to their.  If not, I'll put together a proposal for our GA to be active participants (as compared to just on the list) and see which way the wind blows with the group.

All I need to know is.. has our information been submitted yet.

After Jon's response I just felt that, if there was the possibility that members might be uncomfortable with the idea that it might need a proposal.

To fully participate we will need one.. that is take full advantage of what they offer.  I'd like to be on some phone calls first cause they seem to have some organizational issues.

Word, well I guess you can handle this for now; I kno at OLA people just get on it if they want to.  There's an inter-occupy subcommittee that does these things.

It was the formation of an interoccupy committee that we actually need and what I was thinking of with a proposal, if not with this but to keep connected.  So far we've been small and not needed anything but with the May 1st strike coming up it seemed a good idea to start tapping into national resources.
