to PGA Civil Disobedience Safety
Hi guys! All of us are on other committees so I thought I'd put out
there topics we need to get done so that we have it ready for the rest
of Pasadena GA. Here's what I have on my list:
1. Physical Safety -- includes what to have on you to handle issues
such as chemical agents. I'm putting this together since I already
have a bunch of info and have an expert on safety at hand (as in my
partner who is health and safety for *can't say*)
2. What constitutes civil disobedience -- Carry said she had
background on this and I feel we need to get a proposal to the GA
asap. Particularly how will we react to the police? Stand? Sit?
Push? What?
3. Observers -- The Society of Friends has agreed to be observers for
us so we need a proposal to the GA saying we will officially request
this then follow through with them.
4. Medics -- We should have medics for any actions over a few hours
even if it's just one of us who has water and a first aid kit in a
back pack. For longer ones we need to get a person trained for this..
the nurses union was suggested as a source. Again.. need a proposal!
5. Arrest -- Who to call, how to behave, how those NOT arrested will
be there and support those who are. What to have on you (no weapons
of any kind, no illegal drugs (as in federal law!), etc.

Feedback from the rest of you on the committee? Who wants to sign up
for any of these? Any to add or take off the list?
