PostgreSQL dates beyond the range of Python dates

Hi, I think this mailing list was originally set up for the Google Code fork of pg8000. Is it okay to use it for the original pg8000 at https://github.com/mfenniak/pg8000 ?

There have been a couple of posts asking about dates returned from PostgreSQL that are outside the range of the Python datetime type:

I propose having a type within pg8000 that handles 'big dates'. It could inherit from datetime.datetime.

What do people think?
