Hello Dawn,
If only I’d had this information yesterday, I could have mentioned it at the Food Policy Council meeting—alas! Isn’t that just the way things always work?— but I am writing to let you know that Benefits Data Trust has released a COVID-19 Response Brief on what states and their partners can do to facilitate remote SNAP application assistance and to invite you to a webinar on June 4 at 1pm ET/10am PT.
Social distancing and the resulting economic downturn will both be with us for some time. Thanks to our partnership with Pennsylvania and other states, BDT has helped hundreds of thousands of households apply for SNAP and other benefits over the phone since 2008. The brief and webinar summarize recommendations for states and best practices for organizations seeking to provide remote assistance.
The brief and webinar registrations are available at the links below. When registering for the webinar, be sure to include any specific questions you have about making remote application assistance work. BDT will be addressing the questions submitted in advance on the webinar.

If you know anyone else who may be interested in this brief and webinar invitation, please feel free to forward this message along to your network.
Thanks,
Heather
