CALL TO ACTION: Farmers Markets support letter

Good afternoon. Farmers markets are essential components of Pittsburgh's food supply chain. Now, with the COVID-19 outbreak, they are even more vital to producers and consumers alike. Given Pittsburgh's ambiguity about the future operation of farmers markets despite PA Department of Ag guidance, the Food Policy Council, in partnership with Just Harvest, has drafted an open letter to the City of Pittsburgh regarding the operation of farmers markets during the Covid-19 crisis.

 

Please consider adding your name, that of your organization or business to the letter here by Thursday April 23rd . PFPC will then deliver the letter to the Mayor's office on Friday.
