I am adding a brief outline here about us and the role.  

Aron Global is a global supply chain manager present across various countries in Central America, Caribbean Island, Europe, Africa and Asia.  

We are head quartered in Singapore with FY 2016 revenues in excess of INR 250 crores. Over the last few years we have positioned ourselves extremely well in the entire supply chain from sourcing to marketing. We started operations in October 2008 with just five professionals across two countries but by the end of 2016 we are now seventy professionals working across nine countries. Our current businesses include:

  • Teak – We are currently amongst the top two exporters in the world of teak wood. We have our own offices in six countries across Latin America, agency offices in another four countries in the region and five marketing offices in India. We handle approximately 5000-5500 FFEs (40 feet containers).
  • Metal Scrap – We currently handle approximately 5000-5500 MT of metal scrap monthly and have been able to develop leadership positions in a couple of countries in LATAM region.
  • Hardwoods – As a company constantly looking for expansion and diversification, we started it especially for China market and are currently doing it from Ecuador, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Guatemala.

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual who is willing to take the challenge as part of our India Marketing & Sales Team working in South India as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Tuticorin Port. We obviously will talk in detail about Profile ONCE you clear the first round of interview but let me give you a brief idea coming to Job description and responsibilities:

    1. We give a 30 day detailed inhouse training after a guy is selected to ensure he gets clarity and knowledge about his work and profile before starting his role independently.  
    2. The role will require strategizing and formulating plan to develop the entire Sales and Marketing for Tuticorin Port which holds the key to South India Timber Market.
    3. The role is for heading the Sales in a particular geography in South India which requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of the product which for now is “teak wood”- a complete new and unique product for you!
    4. The most important work in the profile will be to “SELL” effectively which involves competing with all other players in the geography so it involves lot of traveling in the region to get a complete handle and knowhow of the market.
    5.  To ensure that you are always present when the containers are being discharged at buyers factories and yard so that there is no chance of mistakes by your juniors in quality and measurement.
    6. To be very precise and detailed while checking Quality/Measurements after the containers are discharged.
    7. To keep the overhead expenses in check for your geography/ team as a supply chain company works on efficiency which converts into added margin and muscle over the competitors.
    8. To meet the buyers, agents, shipping lines and other stake holders on a daily basis to be on top of the market and have a real time feel of the pulse!  
    9. Skype Conference call every week with Singapore and origin teams to work/discuss the plan for the week.

It is a very RICH profile which requires lot of hard-work and multi-tasking and hence we are very particular and choosy in selection for obvious reasons. The role is very challenging in a dynamic environment among a group of highly competent individuals who are part of this team so we need someone who is a real good with a mature head on his shoulder and willing to push hard to reach the expected performance level.
