Question about capabilities of PFLOTRAN

I hope this email finds you well. I was wondering if PFLOTRAN can model the thermal, hydraulic and mechanical processes coupled together or not? And if you have any example or case study of such THM modeling.

Hi Iman,

Yes, PFLOTRAN can simulate coupled thermal, hydraulic and mechanical processes. 

We have tried some applications in heat generating nuclear waste and CCUS, and are contributing some test cases.

I'll reach out directly with what we can share.
