Hi all,
I am working on a 3D problem. I am generating velocity_at_face and getting data using tecplot block. Now, I need to convert tecplot block to tecplot point. I know that tecplot point means data on each grid cell. I am wondering what does block represent? Thanks.

Best,
Bulbul

With the Tecplot BLOCK format, the data is still at the cell center.   The main difference is that the BLOCK format defines cell geometry more explicitly, and the order of the data is essentially a transpose of the point format.  Data is ordered by variable (all cell values for each variable) rather than by point (all variables for each cell).

Thanks, Glenn. I appreciate your response. I have a follow-up question.
When we store velocity on a tecplot file, does it provide velocity at six faces?

Hi Glenn, I think I got my answer. It only saves one velocity for each cell.
