Hi all,
I'm trying  to use source sink for plant uptake of nutrients like NH4+ , however, I don't want to control other solutes (e.g. N2)  in those grid cells via source_sink, which would be dictated by other boundary conditions and reactive transport.
I'm using equilibrium transport conditions for it. However, I have to include all primary species in the constraint for transport conditions.
Please let me know if  it is possible to do or if anybody has any suggestions regarding this.
Thank you so much in advance.
Best regards,
Bisesh

Bisesh,

The Reaction Sandbox offers an excellent solution for your needs. You can implement a sink term for an individual species; just be sure to maintain charge balance throughout the process.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my query, Glenn.
Do you have any suggestions on how to allocate this particular sink to a specific region via the Reaction sandbox?
Best regards,
Bisesh
