Hello,

I am attempting to create a batch reactor where solute is introduced the the reaction for the duration the the model run. I am attempting to mimic seawater input into a salt marsh platform. I have tried applying the suggestions in an older post (https://groups.google.com/g/pflotran-users/c/-dv9Mts82Y0/m/avV8jWQEBgMJ) but I do not believe that the constraints from my constraint list are being applied.

Attached is my input file and .dat file.

Thanks,

Adam

Adam,

For a batch reactor (i.e., no boundary conditions or source/sinks), only the constraint listed at time zero is applied. You would need to add a source term or a boundary condition to the problem. For the source term, you would also need to solve for flow.

Otherwise, in the case of a batch reactor, you would simply be swapping water when you change the constraint over time, and that is non-physical
