The keynote speaker for this event will be Linda Goldman,an educator, therapist and author. She is the author of Coming Out, Coming In: Nurturing the Well-Being and Inclusion of Gay Youth. Four workshops will be offered with each registrant able to attend two workshops. The titles of the workshops are: Needs of Transgender Youth and Resources, Tell Your Story: Coming Out as a Parent of an LGBTQ Youth, The Bridge Between Clinical and Religious Thought on LGBTQ Issues, and The LGBTQ Person of Color Community Special Concerns. This program is sponsored by Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice, Metro DC PFLAG, the Rainbow Youth Alliance, Western Fairfax PFLAG, Fairfax LGBTQ Youth (FLY), Equality UUC Arlington, Unitarian Universalist Association LGBT Ministries and the Prince George’s County LGBTQ Youth Task Force
