The Sustainability Project Coordinator will support student-driven projects, community engagement & outreach, and climate education. For example, this position will highlight school stories in monthly newsletters, coordinate the School Sustainability Champions network, support student clubs, implement food scrap collection programs, prepare classroom presentations, and organize schoolyard stewardship events.

The PPS Energy & Sustainability Office works to combat climate change in our community by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in our schools and promoting resilient, inclusive, sustainable buildings and schoolyards. We work to empower and support our PPS community -- students, teachers, families, and neighbors -- to be climate ambassadors for a more sustainable and just future.

This position is in partnership with Confluence Environmental Center. For more information and project details, see attached position description. This AmeriCorps role will be a contracted position from August 2023 - July 2024.
