RecentlyI started to have weird sound issues. For example, when I would listen to a Spotify/Tidal track and someone would message me on Facebook, the FB message sound would "freeze" for a second like the sound you get when BSODing and then play normally afterwards. But in some instances, that "buzz" sound would turn off other audio souce. For example, if I'm on discord and someone would message me on FB in the same time, I'll get the buzz sound and the Discord audio would cut off. And then I need to re enter the discord channel few times before it picks up again. Same with some games, FB message sound would make the "buzz" sound and the game audio would cut off and I need to restart the game.
Uninstalling Equalizer APO fixes the issue, but I would really like to have it working, I'm using it with my HD 58X, but I can't listen to that buzz sound anymore because I'm close to punching the monitor when it happens.
I only installed Eq APO on the "Speakers", and I'm using dedicated soundcard (AIM SC808, it's basically Xonar Phoebius), latest Windows 10 with everything up to date.
Which options?
I've seen others having issues about buzzing/crackling. I don't know if that's resolved. It must be very annoying. Have you tried to uncheck the "Use original APO" checkboxes (and restarted your computer)?
There is a serious problem with Poweramp equalizer on my phone. And I'm kinda scared because it'll probably damage to my headphones.
Sometimes when I switch apps, change song, etc. a deep bassy static sound comes at full sound, and from earphones, from speakers, its loud as hell. It is impossible to prevent, even volume button does not work for preventing it. It is a bug since beta era of Poweramp equalizer. I have no idea why it happens but... yeah. I like the overall product. I have Poweramp Equalizer Premium. But this bug prevents me to use the Poweramp EQ.
It happened on street once. Everyone looked at me, probably they thought I stole the phone from someone else and alarm sound just blasted lol. It blasts that deep static sound so loud that it sounds like an alarm from outside. It will probably damage to phone speakers and earphones if I continue to use it like that. Embarrassing.
Please fix this issue as soon as possible. Product has a great quality, I really enjoy using it but this thing makes me crazy. I beg you to fix it.
It is not recommended to use any system EQ in conjunction with PA-EQ. Besides this, have you tried with defeating all of the reverb and echo functions? This is what I hear as you are rapidly switching between apps.
Hi there, I am also stuck with kind of the same problem, but also I am not really good in programming:(
I successfully installed BalenaSound in my Pi3 and Pi4, one is attached to a normal HifiBerry Card, one is connected to the HifiBerry AMP2 and, of cause, the sound is bad due to the missing equalizer.
I know you have equalizers for Mac and Windows that can control everything what runs and makes sound on the platforms. But is there an app for iOS that can do the same. It's just meant to control my headphones (Audio Technica M50x) in my opinion they have too much bass, so I want to control the low. Also different solutions (hardware?) are welcome.
I've been looking also recently into this and discovered that that there are only equalizers for music available if you use a regular iOS device. However at the beginning of this year a free iOS tweak was launched called EQE that does exactly what you want BUT you need a jailbroken device
So after the app economy undermining give away expensive stuff for free to the rich guys action buy INTUA probably another reason to jailbreak your device. With this kind of developments I predict jailbreaking will become more and more popular.
If you don't mind to stop updating your iOS, that is. The vast majority of iOS users don't care about jailbreaking, they will accept everything that is A) new and from Apple.
For music lovers, the JB route indeed seems the better way to go, not only that you can make your iDevice much more useful and enjoyable, but also you're able to transfer files between apps freely, erase gigabytes of sound content individually without destroying the app, and access your own song and sample data even in apps that don't support consistent file sharing. You could even auto-sync the files with your desktop/laptop without the nasty restrictions of iTunes, and back up any app version you want.

Yes unfortunately. There's quite a view specialized apps like equalizer pro that can do the same. Besides software solutions you could of course also look for a portable headphone amp/ equalizer but most off the come with a high pricetag.
Thank you all for the suggestions. @mannix this jailbreak app you suggest is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately I don't like to jailbreak my devices so not really an option. Would be great I Apple would give devs more freedom and would devs develop such an app so it could be distributed through the appstore.
External devices seem to be not really easy available, probably there's not a market for it. So this brings everything back to the type of headphones you use. Saw differnt threads about this subject. Will dig deeper in it.

What I understood it can make iOS unstable and what you say also security is high on my agenda. I do a lot with y iDevices. Interesting though is that there are apps that really make the device more interactive. Especially the app @mannix came up with.
Can wholeheartly agree with you about stealing apps. But I can understand that a group of people can become frustrated paying for expensive apps that become free and at a certain level decide not paying anymore for those apps.
Hello,
I take this opportunity to say that there is a lua script equalizer available for gnome-mpv.
It is necessary to create a file with a text editor in .config/gnome-mpv/scripts/equalizer.lua where we put the script from this page.
Thanks @sangheeta For this new information. In software center i only found PulseEffects. That's why i am using it. It detect almost any sound related software. Such as spotify, vlc & firefox. My question is after save the "equalizer.lua" is it show on start menu?
sangheeta what about system-wide? like spotify, vlc, chrome every application can use it. Also activate this bass mode only when headset is connected. Is calf plugin pack for jack is necessary in this case??
Hello everyone,
Does Sound Forge 15 Pro have an Equalizer that can be used to adjust the highs and lows for listening to MP3s?
I have a very old version of Sound Forge that has about 10 plug-ins. I'd drag and drop my MP3s and add various plug-ins and save the altered version, but wanted to know if there's any sort of EQ in the newest version of Sound Forge. If it doesn't have an EQ, I'm hoping I can use FabFilter as the EQ, provided FabFilter works well with Sound Forge Pro 15. Thanks so much.
Sound Forge Pro (Magix or SCS) has about five (or more) EQs included.. Graphic, Paragraphic, Parametric, ect., ect. The are literally hundreds of others for free or otherwise. Everyone has their personal favorites. My 'newest' current favorite is a free wide band "7Q" equalizer, the 1.5 octave 7Q was inspired by the Kjaerhus Classic... another nice sounding graphic.
The legacy (Direct X) Graphic, Paragraphic and Parametric EQs can be found in the "Process> EQ" menu. They can also can be located in the "FX Favorites" along with the newer EQs . You may want to use "Fx Favorites 'Organize' tool and drag the EQs to the "Favorites" folder to access them easier. Using an FX chain is another option, either on the timeline for non-destructive processing (with optional automation) or in the 'Fx Favorites, "Apply Plug-in chain" mode
