Kaylesh would not wait long to act. As soon as we let the guards at the gate know what was going on, he would continue on.

To the group, "we need to be informing Aldon of this! This evil must be crushed. Before this gets out of hand"

Turning to Clegal (kleeguhl?), "I understand that you wish to get back to your life, but I beg you, come talk to Aldon Brightblade and tell him your tale. He must know what has happened to you. He is not only the leader of the Brighblades, but the Lord of Freemarch Dell. His responsibilities lie beyond the walls of these mines. If the dark dwarves are attacking merchant caravans, this is an issue which the entire dell should be fighting. As soon as you speak with Aldon, I will see to it that you are resupplied and sent on your way if that is what you wish." (I can do a diplomacy check to convince him to go if need be.)

Without waiting for anyone to answer, Kaylesh will turn and hustle towards Aldon's throne room.

After writing his note to Aldon Ragnivald will hurry to his lab--after snatching a few supplies--and begin brewing. He will not be bothered unless it is of utmost importance.

Eir begins running with haste down the halls, heading straight for home. Bursting into her house, startling her house maiden and the night watch. "Is.... 'gasp'. my father...'gasp'. in his... 'gasp'. chambers?" i said out of breath. With out hesitation, noticing the semi nod before someone answers yes, she takes off to his chambers. Screaming  as she slams open his door, " Father,  father." without paying heed to any word he was saying, or the fact she woke him with screams, Eir slammed the paper into his hands. "Read this, and I shall answer what ever questions you have....." and with that Eir drops to the floor to sit and catch her breath.

Dorn would follow behind Eir. Spouting off like a mad man. "They are coming to take our home. There is more then I can count, more then I can solo at one time. Eir attacked thief leader, her attacks had no damage. We had to flee! He asked us to join him but we all flees. " dorn repeats this twice while Aldon. Is reading and then punches the nearest table. The table buckles and snaps from in half from under him. " damnit Aldon, how could you let the enemy come so near! They are coming in a force that we must be ready for. Call the city to arms and prepare for battle."

Kaylesh will be fast on the heels of the others, breathing heavily.

"And they are opening attacking the Dalesmen and torturing them as well. We were able to rescue one of them. We must rally all the troops that we can to smash these bugs."

Clegal buckles over and drops to his knees just as you pass the thick carved stone doors of the lower west mines.  His eyes shut and he clasps his hands while bowing his head. He offers silent prayer to his god.  He looks up at Kaylesh. The gems interwoven in his beard flash and sparkle, reflecting tiny dancing lights on his face.  His words sound like sandpaper as he forces them through dry, cracked lips.  "My life has been put on hold since the day my caravan was ravaged and we were captured.  I will speak to your King Dwarf and give aid in any way I can.  I owe you all my life.  You have no idea the hell you saved me from.  Do you Dwarves really believe you can defend against these Durigar and their inhuman spawn of hell?"

Aldon stands up grabbing the large axe at the side on his bead.  He lifts it up, startled over your abrupt entrance.  "Damn ye woman!  You're gonna kill me before the Durigar!  And Dorn, what in the hells are ye trying to say!?  Slow down!  How many?  Where, when?  What's going on!?"

Dorn grabs the broken table and chucks it at the wall! "Aldon they are coming with a force the dosent matter the size. As one ally dies, an enemy is born. They have an unlimited resource of soldiers from our fallen brothers. They are in the tunnels here and here dorn points on a map Aldon has on his desk. We were lucky to get out alive. We must fortify what we have and get the women and children to the surface. The leader made it sound like they would march on us with in the ten day

Hamorgrim steps out from the shadows where he'd watching and bows before Aldon.

"Lord, forgive them their hysteria," Hamorgrim says, "their age and inexperience in these matters has set their hearts aflame with worry.  However, their urgency should not be ignored.  The enemy is on our doorstep.  We have bloodied its nose and discovered its mind, but if we fail to act we will lose our advantage."  He pauses, letting his words register with Aldon.  "Sire, muster the army, every dwarf that can be spared and lead us into the stomach of our enemies where we can deal the fatal blow.  If you don't then prepare for siege for our enemy marches soon."

The sheet wrapped around Aldon starts to slowly slip down his hairy barreled belly.  He drops his Battleaxe on the ground as he tries to stop the sheets decent, crumpling the note.  "Grab Gideon and the High Priest of Moradin, Balmug and meet me in the Throne room!  We prepare for battle!  Also knock next time.  You almost saw me jumblies!"  He motions for you to leave the room.

As you all enter the Throne Room with Gideon and High Priest Balmug you see Aldon sitting impatiently in his throne.  High Priest Balmug moving with age, slowly walks to the center stone table and has a seat.  His voice tired and weary.  "What do ye wish of me at this hour m'lord?"

Aldon stands from his mighty throne looking like a paragon of dwarven pride. His fine Mithril Armor and Red Dragon Helm radiate brilliance in the torchlight.  "Some of our neighbors deep down wish to test our metal.  As good neighbors we're gonna oblige em!" a smirk forms in the creases of his mouth.  "But we need to know all we can.  Ragnivald tells me that they are trying to summon some demon from the hells!  That's why you're here Balmug.  We be needin' yer knowledge and guidance in this matter.  And Gideon, if there is gonna be battle then w" Gideon cuts him off, his eyes burning a furious blue though his unkempt blonde mane. "Oh there will be me lord!  And the fury of the Brightblades will echo down through these mountains to the core of the earth!  What of their numbers?  How many?"

Aldon looks over to your party.  "Yes, we need to know everything.  How many are in there numbers?  How close are they to our doors?  What of this Demon?  How are they summoning it?  Does it have anything to do with the collapse and the labyrinth our kin found in the lower east tunnel?Tell me every detail ye know!"

Eir speaks up, "Father, I know of at least a dozen, and one leader that even a true strike from my hammer couldn't harm. They also can raise the dead to fight and we fought many of those. Its about half day's journey down. One thing I fear father is they may attack from above ground at night, since the merchant we found was abducted on route to us. We should leave a force to defend the city as well. Let us set off first thing in the morning after you all discuss and plan. I am heading to get rest in a bit."

After listening for awhile, I head outside at the moons highest hour and pray to Lurue to grant me my strength and spells for the day. I then will head back inside. I tell Tara our house maiden to wake me in the morning before my father heads out. But please let me get my rest, I am exhausted. I then clamor into my room and into bed to get some sleep.

Kaylesh raises his hand and says, "Please Lord Aldon, if I may speak."

"While I am not agreeing with Hamorgrim's suggestion that we are in hysteria, it is possible that we give the wrong impression. We have no army on our heels, yet one is surely coming. Eir speaks true that we know of at least a dozen dark dwarves, but that is not the whole story. What is giving more worries is that they try to gather magic to summon a demon using magical orbs. There is a foul and unholy temple that we fought our way into. They do evil things. They capture and torture (he points to Cleagle) and then raise those bodies to fight for them. They had already summoned a creature made of blood which we destroyed. If the tales that we head from Halvor and the thunder twins from their fight with the dark ones are true, they probably found one of the orbs in the tunnels very near to our mines. We stumbled onto one of their leaders, who Eir tried to attack. He told us some of their plans and offered us to join them. He claimed that they have already found two of the orbs and only needed the others to summon the demon. The next time we meet them they could have a demon at their command.

I am not a military planner. I cannot say if we should gather troops tonight and return to the tunnels, but I do know that they are coming, and if we allow them to draw a demon from the hells, then we have waited too late. They attack not only dwarves but the Dalesmen as well (again indicating Cleagle). If we do not deal with these dark ones now, we will be sorry for it. But I too must rest to regain my spells and would also like to see if we can gain some help from the Snowgolds or even Daggerfalls.

I respect your authority and opinion, Aldon, but I will do whatever is needed to get help for us."

Dorn stands at the end of the table with his armor dirtied from blood, his dorn dergar strapped at his waist and his helm held between his arm and his breast plate. " me'h lord. Halvor spoke of a huge item that looked like a sarcophagus being drug from the water, before Gideon's men saved their sorry butts. The leader mentioned  three orbs that were needed to raise this demon and I think that one laid inside that sarcophagus. He said the other 2 orbs were Close to being retrieved." dorn spouts out but then begins to second guess his Thoughts. Dorn shakes his head and  continues his response
" we've fought numerous undead creatures and kobolds. Although we know the kobolds are not allied with the duergar. We should not act unrational but we need to protect our home. If we attack now we would be fighting them on thier grounds. The whole time we searched for information we found trap piled on traps. One trap could injure our numbers. Let us ask for help from our allies up top. Fortify our defenses and once we have the numbers we need and we know our city is safe, we can enter the tunnels and begin clearing them out by force."

Aldon takes off his Red Dragon Helm and sets it on the table and looks
up at you. He contemplates his words for a moment then speaks. "The
Snowgolds, the Talops, the Blacklocks, the Winterwoods.  These are
farming families, not warriors.  They will be of no aid to us.  We
defend them as part of our arrangement.  If these Durigar be attacking
the trade routes I will let the Freedom Riders know.  That be Morn's
territory.  There be some in Kharva's Inn now.  We can't send the
entire army after a dozen Durigar for fear of them attacking Anathar's
Dell while we're gone.  But we must strike a blow against these
Durigar!  We need to move the men into defensive position."

Gideon stands pointing to the map of the mines on the table.  "We
should post one squad of men at the lower east mines and one at the
west.  One should move further into the tunnels accompanied by the
delvers.   Lets also send a squad with the Freedom riders to patrol
the trade routes.  We don't want Morn thinking we can't protect our
outlying lands.  The rest should stay here and make preparations!"

Aldon clears his throat looking over to the priest, "What say you
about these demons High Priest Balmug?".  The High Priest wipes the
sleep from his eyes and looks up.  "I know not of these orbs.  I have
not heard of them before.  There may be one who has though.  I believe
you may know him.  Or at least his son.  Terr Breemin Ragnivald III
was our record keeper and knew much of the planes of hell and their
ancient lore.  Though he is sickly and we fear on his death bed, but
he may know more on this subject.  I shall speak with him."

"Very well Balmug, please speak with him at once!  Gideon, we begin
preparations now!  Set the men up to guard the mine entrances.
Delvers, get some shut eye.  In the morning meet me back here.  You're
leading the push to slaughter some Durigar!"

First thing in the morning i will head to speak to Antilus Snowgold and tell him about Cleagle. I will let him know that he is an exotic animal trainer that wants to learn from the best. I will then spend a half hour with Zhari Snowgold, and let her know of the adventures I have had, and what I am about to embark on, before heading back to the mine to meet with the others.

Kaylesh will wait and listen to what Aldon has to say before returning to his home. He will encourage Clegle to either stay with him, or to seek a place to stay in the Dell, offering to cover any costs that he incurs. If Clegle agrees to stay with him, Kaylesh first see if he needs to be healed (and if so will go to the temple of Moradin) then will try to make him as comfortable as he can, all the while plying him for information about his business dealings and contacts. He will not even suggest that Clegle return to the tunnels with him, but will make sure to let him know that the dark dwarves are going to be punished.
