Hi PF4J Community,
I decided to write up a Google Summer of Code project proposal titled “
Overhaul the legacy Apache Nutch plugin framework and replace it with PF4J”.
Apache Nutch is a highly extensible, highly scalable, matured, production-ready Web crawler which enables fine grained configuration and accomodates a wide variety of data acquisition tasks. You can learn more about Nutch at
https://nutch.apache.org.
For quite a while now the Nutch development community have been thinking about adopting and evangelizing PF4J. Hopefully this GSoC initiative will address that want.
I encourage interested applicants to register your interest in the below JIRA issue or else reach out on
d...@nutch.apache.org (please CC
lew...@apache.org).
