Acrobat allows you to add customizable headers and footers to one or more PDFs, which can include page numbers, dates, titles, and authors. You can also vary the headers and footers within a PDF, set the number of digits, starting number, and prefix/suffix for Bates numbering. The headers and footers can be saved for future use and previewed, edited, replaced, or deleted after application. Additionally, the margins of the headers and footers can be adjusted to avoid overlapping other page content.
Type the text in any of the header and footer text boxes. To insert page numbers or the current date, click in a box and then select the corresponding buttons. To select formatting for automatic entries, select Page Number and Date Format.
Bates numbering is a method of indexing legal documents for easy identification and retrieval. Each page of each document is assigned a unique Bates number that also indicates its relationship to other Bates-numbered documents. This has to be one the cruelest games ever. I pay adobe a monthy fee and cannot find a phone number for help. I have a problem and need real tech support. At one point I actually saw a logo with phone link. When I clicked on it, it went away. I know it exist, I actually was successful in reaching a human being a couple of months ago . I need that support; does anyone know a number? The link I was sent in my previous submission just sent me to the useless website.
Same thing is happening to me, being charged and can't cancel anything online. No customer support number to be seen. Adobe has been a dying dinosaur of a company for many years, never using it again
Companies are selected automatically by the algorithm. A company's rating is calculated using a mathematical algorithm that evaluates the information in your profile. The algorithm parameters are: user's rating, number of resolved issues, number of company's responses etc. The algorithm is subject to change in future.
I can confirm that the new version is not showing the page labels but phisical page numbers. The old version was showing it when the toolbar was at the top not on the right side as in the latest version. Or this is a bug or there is a setting that we are missing.
Can you clarify this please? Do you want this numbering convention to be on the face of the document (as in a footer)? You can configure this in the Header & Footer dialog box, and can then save it as a customization, allowing you to use it anytime you wish.
assuming you're using a valid adobe serial number (6 groups of 4 numbers), you have a mismatch between your installation file and serial number. ie, you can have a valid serial number, but if it's for program A and your installation file is for program B, you will see an invalid serial number message.
common mismatches are language/region (eg, serial number is for western europe and installation file is eastern europe), platform (eg, serial number is for a mac and installation file is win), license type (eg, education vs enterprise vs individual).
and one of the most common is using a program installation file with a suite's serial number. eg, using a cs6 suite serial number with a photoshop cs6 installation file. that won't work even though photoshop is included in that suite. you must use the suite's installation file (and you can choose to only install one program from the suite).
We add a footer indicating the case number to the left side, bates numbers are applied on the right. When we remove the document footer, the case number is removed but the bates number remains. Now, however, Acrobat says there is no bates number found and won't remove it.

I'm encountering an issue in Adobe Acrobat Pro where I cannot edit the page numbers in the print window.
