Acrobat allows you to add customizable headers and footers to one or more PDFs, which can include page numbers, dates, titles, and authors. You can also vary the headers and footers within a PDF, set the number of digits, starting number, and prefix/suffix for Bates numbering. The headers and footers can be saved for future use and previewed, edited, replaced, or deleted after application. Additionally, the margins of the headers and footers can be adjusted to avoid overlapping other page content.

Type the text in any of the header and footer text boxes. To insert page numbers or the current date, click in a box and then select the corresponding buttons. To select formatting for automatic entries, select Page Number and Date Format.

Bates numbering is a method of indexing legal documents for easy identification and retrieval. Each page of each document is assigned a unique Bates number that also indicates its relationship to other Bates-numbered documents. Bates numbers appear as headers or footers on the pages of each PDF in the batch.

When designating documents for Bates numbering, you can add PDFs, and any non-PDF files that can be converted to PDF. The process converts non-PDF file types to PDF, and then adds Bates numbers to the resulting PDF.

For example, to find a specific document when you knowits Bates number, type in the complete number as the search text.To find any documents in a Bates number series, type in a distinctiveportion of the Bates series, such as the prefix or suffix.

INSANE! no more chat or phone number on the site. no way to contact a human without holding for over an hour using this 1800 number, 3 days I have wasted on hold only to have call ended over and over again!!! So glad I pour thousands of dollars into this company ever year!

This has to be one the cruelest games ever. I pay adobe a monthy fee and cannot find a phone number for help. I have a problem and need real tech support. At one point I actually saw a logo with phone link. When I clicked on it, it went away. I know it exist, I actually was successful in reaching a human being a couple of months ago . I need that support; does anyone know a number? The link I was sent in my previous submission just sent me to the useless website.

Same thing is happening to me, being charged and can't cancel anything online. No customer support number to be seen. Adobe has been a dying dinosaur of a company for many years, never using it again

Companies are selected automatically by the algorithm. A company's rating is calculated using a mathematical algorithm that evaluates the information in your profile. The algorithm parameters are: user's rating, number of resolved issues, number of company's responses etc. The algorithm is subject to change in future.

I can confirm that the new version is not showing the page labels but phisical page numbers. The old version was showing it when the toolbar was at the top not on the right side as in the latest version. Or this is a bug or there is a setting that we are missing.

Can you clarify this please? Do you want this numbering convention to be on the face of the document (as in a footer)? You can configure this in the Header & Footer dialog box, and can then save it as a customization, allowing you to use it anytime you wish.

assuming you're using a valid adobe serial number (6 groups of 4 numbers), you have a mismatch between your installation file and serial number. ie, you can have a valid serial number, but if it's for program A and your installation file is for program B, you will see an invalid serial number message.

common mismatches are language/region (eg, serial number is for western europe and installation file is eastern europe), platform (eg, serial number is for a mac and installation file is win), license type (eg, education vs enterprise vs individual).

and one of the most common is using a program installation file with a suite's serial number. eg, using a cs6 suite serial number with a photoshop cs6 installation file. that won't work even though photoshop is included in that suite. you must use the suite's installation file (and you can choose to only install one program from the suite).

We add a footer indicating the case number to the left side, bates numbers are applied on the right. When we remove the document footer, the case number is removed but the bates number remains. Now, however, Acrobat says there is no bates number found and won't remove it.

Historically, Adobe issued serial numbers with our apps (i.e. Creative Suite, Creative Cloud for enterprise, Acrobat XI, Acrobat DC) to customers on Enterprise Term License Agreements (ETLAs). These serial numbers do have an expiration date. Once the expiration date has passed, the product will no longer work so it is important to plan your migration before your serial numbers expire. This page outlines the steps necessary to ensure your end users have continued access to their Adobe apps and services.

The AdobeExpiryCheck is a command-line utility for IT Admins to check whether Adobe products on a computer are using serial numbers that have expired or are expiring. The tool will display information such as the product licensing identifier (LEID), the encrypted serial number, and the expiration date. This page contains instructions on downloading & using the tool on either Mac or Windows computers.

Both Acrobat and Creative Cloud for enterprise apps will begin to display messages (in the apps) starting 60 days before expiration. Once the serial number expires, the products stop working, and prompt the user to take action.

Beginning 60 days before the serial number expires, all Creative Cloud for enterprise apps display an in product dialog box to the end user. This message will appear weekly, until 30 days before expiration, it will then appear daily until the expiration date stating Your license is expiring. This Adobe product is using a license that is due to expire on November 29, 2020. Please contact your admin to ensure continued access.

Once the serial number expires, the users will no longer have access to the Creative Cloud for enterprise apps. On the first launch after expiration, the user will be prompted with a dialog box stating The serial number you entered has expired. This product cannot be licensed. Please contact Customer Support.

Beginning 60 days before the serial number expires, Acrobat displays an in product pop-up message to the end user. This will appear once a week until 7 days before expiration. It will then begin to appear daily stating Your Adobe Acrobat license expires on 30/11/2020. Please contact your administrator to continue using Acrobat without disruption.

Once the serial number expires, the users will no longer have access to Acrobat. On the first launch after expiration, the user will be prompted with a dialog box stating The serial number you entered has expired. This product cannot be licensed. Please contact Customer Support.

Law firms and the courts have unique numbering needs when sharing discovery documents. Counsels, opposing counsel and the courts have the need to utilize a common numbering system when referring to documents.

Document sets may also be given a unique set numbers or prefixes which might include a set number, case number, firm name, etc. For example, all receipts might be treated separately and grouped into sets of 500 pages.

Because it is easy to make a mistake when numbering, you may also delete existing Bates numbers. Using the Delete function will delete all of the header/footer information on the page, even if you applied headers/footers multiple times to the same document.

I'm encountering an issue in Adobe Acrobat Pro where I cannot edit the page numbers in the print window. I can select the page number text, but I am unable to make any changes to it, whether by typing or pasting. I've tried various methods without success. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe Acrobat is a useful tool for creating and editing PDF files. You can use it to add page numbers in a variety of styles to your PDF documents, including the Bates numbering system that's sometimes used for numbering legal documents. You can also find a number of other tools to insert a page in a PDF online or to add page numbers to PDFs.

To do so, go to the "Tools" menu and click "Edit PDF" if editing is not enabled. Then, in the toolbar, click "Header & Footer" then "Add" to add a header or footer to the document to display the page numbers.

Click the header or footer where you want the page numbers. Click where you want the page number, select the text font and size you want and click the "Insert Page Number" button. To change formatting and style, such as if you want to display Roman numerals versus Arabic ones, click "Page Number and Date Format."

Courts and other legal settings sometimes require that documents or sets of documents receive Bates numbers, which usually indicate who is producing the documents as well as their page numbers. You can add these numbers in the style you need to one or more documents, using Acrobat.

To do this, click "More" in the Acrobat toolbar, and then click "Bates Numbering" and then click "Add." A dialog box will appear. Click "Add Files" and use the "Add Files" and "Add Folders" buttons to select files or folders full of files that require numbering. Use the "Add Open Files" button to select files you already have open. Enter the password if prompted for any file that requires one to open.
