Tree Day Site Details

Sunday, 31 July 2011 9:30am to 12:30pm

Aims of the project: Come along to help restore native vegetation to the former
pine plantation areas burnt in the 2003 bushfires! Together we can improve water

quality in this vital water supply area for Canberra and Queanbeyan.
Following the planting, Adrian Brown from ACT Parks and Conservation Service
will discuss indigenous perspectives on Natural Resource Management.

Directions: To catch the bus to the site, RSVP to 6253 3035 or

Uriarra Rd to Uriarra Crossing, turn left after the Crossing and then look out
for the Greening Australia signs.

Notes about the day for Volunteers:
Please wear appropriate clothing (hat, covered shoes, long sleeved shirt and
long pants recommended)
The following will be provided: Gloves, Tools and equipment for planting,
Watering cans / buckets, Drinking water, Snacks, Refreshments, BBQ
