The renewal of our website is coming up in July. Here is what we
have:

Go Daddy 1 yr Hosting

43.05
Domain Name: PetsittersOfPearland.com

2.19
Domain Name: PearlandPetsitters.com (forwarded to
PetsittersOfPearland.com) 9.15
Private Registration Services (Spam control) -
PetsittersOfPearland.com 6.32
Private Registration Services (Spam control) - PearlandPetsitters.com
6.32

Total 67.03

Also, this was the cost of participating in Paws in the Park that I
think we'll want to do next year:

Registration 20.00
Late Registration 20.00
Tablecloth & Skirt 7.41
Business Cards 24.00
Banner ???
Dog Treats ???

Total 71.41

In light of these expenses and anticipating printing brochures in the
coming year, LeeAnn & I propose a $15 annual membership fee. I think
that's about an $8 or $9 increase over last year. Membership will
include your listing on the website and in the brochure and business
cards (only the website address is printed on the business cards) to
be left at veterinary offices and other places of business.

We've invited other pet care places to join us - kennels, groomers,
veterinarians. Of course, all are welcome to participate in our
meetings and discussions. Paid membership will benefit those who are
listed on the website.

I will be happy to set up a business checking account for us (I still
have to investigate) and keep up with the bookkeeping (unless someone
else wants to do it). Any & all monies received will be held in the
account to be used for Petsitters of Pearland expenses only. A review
of the books will be open to all at anytime.

I am so happy with the public relations that we're doing. Just
letting people know that there are people who will take care of their
pets is a service to the community. They are so relieved to know
about us!

Please let me know what you think and whether you intend to join us
again for 2008-2009. Thank you all for your encouragement, help and
support.

Yes Melissa, I would like to re-join. Also, I will probably have one or two new services to add to the webpage. These ladies will be house cleaners. I am suppose to get their business card (s) Friday as well as the $15.00 fee, so I will be in contact.

Yes, I'd like to renew. Can I PayPal my $15? To set up a business
bank account, you need a DBA or fictious business name application,
which has to be done at the county tax office. I had mine done online
because time is money and it ran about $90, though the county office
is much less. Business accounts usually charge a monthly fee unless
you have a certain amount kept in, just something to think about.

Thank you, Wendy! The Assumed Name Filing for Brazoria County asks for
owner information and has a statement "there are no ownerships in said
business other than those listed herein". I don't know what to do with
that.

For the time being, you can PayPal to CozyCatsPearland.com. I paid for the
website last year & was reimbursed. I'll do that again this year unless we
get the bank account up & running in time. I'll set up a PayPal on our
website as soon as we get the bank account.

I think we should have an approval form for expenditures and require 2
signatures. And, we'll have a financial report every month at our meeting &
it will be published on our Google Group. Also, I'll get a receipt book to
give receipts for paid memberships. How does that sound?

Melissa,

I have a check for the house cleaning service for you. I will be in your area next week starting Monday afternoon and then mornings and afternoons everyday but Thursday.

Is it okay to drop it by your house? I can also bring my renewal fee at that time.
