This is another view in Jameos Del Agua, next to the café area. In Chinese and Japanese gardens the idea of framing the view exists: whenever one looks out of a window, the landscape should be arranged and sculpted as it was a painting.
While I find the paintings and the scupltures of César Manrique disturbing and somewhat terrifying, his architecture I marvel at: it's an incredible blend of local traditions, mixed with his own view, and with many of the East Asian approaches.
