Excuse the mass-mailing, but I want to invite you to celebrate my birthday with me this Thursday. Please come help me celebrate at Tony Starlight's on 3728 NE Sandy Blvd in Portland. There's no cover charge (because what kind of party would it be if you had to pay to get in) and presents are not required - just your Presence. I decided long ago that all I want for my birthday is to spend it making music with my friends - so if you're a musician, please bring your axe and/or your voice and plan to sit in!
I'll be 42 - which as any Douglas Adams fan knows is the same as the ultimate answer to the ultimate question of Life, the Universe, and Everything... so stick out your sub-etha electronic signaling device and grab a lift on your local Vogon starship, bring your towel and come on down to Tony Starlight's for the party!
