Hey all!
I've got two awesome events to let you know about this weekend!

First, tomorrow night (Friday, March 9th) I'll be at Ivories Jazz Lounge, 14th & NW Flanders in the Pearl, with the Jim Templeton quartet. On drums will be Jim's son Janus who's visiting from Denmark, and the quartet will be rounded out by the amazing Eric Gruber on bass. We'll also have the lovely and talented Amy Weber with us on vocals; Amy is a stellar jazz vocalist who's in town this weekend from Boise, Idaho whose smoky, sexy voice will give you goosebumps in all the right ways. (She's actually in town to record with the Septet for an upcoming CD so stay tuned for that too!)

Second, Saturday night, March 10th,  The full-size Porkpie Septet will return to Vie de Boheme Wine Bar (1530 SE 7th ave in Portland's "Distillery Row" district) for a night of swinging straight-ahead jazz. This venue has great wine, a dance floor, and also plenty of tables to sit and listen, so come on out and shake your tailfeathers to one of Portland's swingin-est groups. Amy Weber will be singing with us this night too so if you missed her Friday night, you have one more last chance while she's in town!
