Hey everybody!

I'm just on the way back from the East Coast tour with the Solomon Douglas Swingtet. We had three weeks of great gigs, that band is absolutely slamming and it was my absolute pleasure to be able to play with those guys almost every night for three weeks straight. Last night's gig in New York City was the band's finest hour so far. Ten guys living on the road together for three weeks, making music together as we went up and down the coast; sleeping on couches, driving sometimes up to 10 hours at a stretch to make the next gig; as one friend remarked "That's OLD SCHOOL!" I had an absolute blast and wouldn't trade any of it for the world!

Not to mention, the whole tour was like a foodie's dream come true. Cubano sandwiches in downtown Tampa, lots of BBQ as we toured through the south, Cheesesteak sandwiches in Philly, some of that famous NYC pizza, I'm definitely going to need to get back in a gym pretty soon at this rate.

But that's not why I'm writing. I want to let you know about a very special show in Oregon City this Sunday: our friend Garry Meziere is in the midst of a very painful series of foot surgeries. We're throwing a benefit gig for him this Sunday at the Trail's End Saloon in Oregon City, and I sincerely hope you can all make it out. Below is an official release and list of the line-up of bands.

Hope to see you there!!!

Hey Everybody,
Garry has been having on going foot surgeries for the past 29 months. He has a genetic condition called Posterior Tibial Dysfunction that is in both feet. He had two joints fused in his foot in January 2009 and it failed.

He has already had surgery to remove all the failed bone and is awaiting another surgery on Dec. 16th to replace what was taken out! He is expected to be in a cast and recovering until March of next year. It’s important to Garry to be present at his benefit to thank everyone in person for their caring love, time and talents.

Hope you can make it down ;-)
