Going down the path of full lock and encrypt would introduce limitations that are taking away from the flexibility of plain text storage. There are plenty of tools to protect data. The ask here is maybe simply the ability to hide folders from prying eyes.
The application does not provide a way to recover the password if you have lost it. The password is not saved in a plain text file and it's encrypted in another hidden file inside the folder. I am afraid that if you have lost the password, all your content is gone.
can use 7-zip file manager with enable see the hidden files, browse to that locked folder and go into that hidden folder inside, your files can see at there. then use move/copy on 7-zip file manager to move it out. For delete the locked folder after used, using unlocker to delete it.

To expand on what worked - I used my Folder Lock serial number as the password, unlocked the folder with my old tax data, then uninstalled Folder Lock (you could only uninstall once getting past the password.) Rebooted, and there was the folder.
Unfortunately, for some reason the folder was empty. At that point I used an undelete to see if I could find it. I d/led one, it worked very well, and there were the files. But to recover all of them they wanted you to pay for a registered copy.
I created a locker.bat to hide some pictures in E drive..no I had to hide reinstall windows 10...now after reinstalling when ever I try to open it it gives an error saying"windows cannot acess the specified path or device. You may not have the appropriate permission to acess the file"

tred doing alternately by in hiding the folder but all the pictures now have a lock icon and cannot be viewd.....plis help me
sir I locked them with a locker.bat file.... it created a bat file...I used to open it and cmd used to open up asking for password...ten it used to show the picture I hid...I reinstalled windows now I cant open that batch file...I tired manually unhiding which gave me this htg folder...now I can see all the picture icon but I cant open hem as thy have a lock icon on them..in the below screen shot...
