paviliondv7-6c95dx speakers sounds crakly. I tried updating the sound drive to no avail and the sound is really bad. Do I need to replace the speakers or is there any avenue to fix the sound problem?

First try installing the HP AMD Driver with this basic procedure. Sometime if you don't delete C:\AMD Folder and all previous AMD driver it will corrupt the current installation. If using the old previous HP drivers and your Display Adapters work correctly without any Yellow Exclamation marks. Then use the same basic procedure to install the latest AMD Laptop generic drivers and see if the Yellow Exclamation marks reappear.

1) Download the correct AMD Full Set of drivers from AMD Support. Make sure your Windows is fully updated via Windows Update. Windows Must be fully updated because the latest AMD Drivers requires all the latest "Optional" and "Recommended" updates to be installed.

2) Use Windows Uninstall to uninstall current AMD driver and software and disconnect the internet from your computer. Then use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from Wagnardsoft Forum in Safe Mode. This will eliminate all traces of the AMD driver and software from your computer.

4) Try reinstalling the AMD FULL SET OF DRIVERS that you have downloaded manually. Make sure you disable the Internet to prevent Windows from installing a newer version. So configure windows to prevent it from updating drivers via windows update. So it has been mentioned to disable any anti-virus programs before installing AMD Drivers.

The first thing you need to do first is to get rid of the Yellow Exclamation marks on your laptop's Display adapters. Both of them. Later on we can try and find out why OpenGL doesn't work.

When configuring Dynamic Switchable Graphics in the Catalyst Control Center, the notebook does not permit any OpenGL applications to be associated with the Discrete (dGPU) or high-performance GPU. OpenGL applications work using power-saving or Integrated GPU (iGPU) but performance levels are lower than expected.

On laptops with switchable graphics, OGL applications will use the integrated graphics by default. To use the discrete graphics for these applications, go into the bios and change the "primary" graphics/display to the PCIE (discrete) graphics. This could be listed as ' fixed' mode...different than the default 'switchable' or 'dynamic' mode.

It appears to meet the specs (but i'm not a technical person) and the one thing I'm not sure about is the Graphics card. It's a ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics, which I read elsewhere (another general google search) that it is supposed to work but may not work for Windows 10.

by disabling the display driver for the Radeon graphics card leaving only the intel one enabled I reduced the windows 10 start up /boot time to around 20 seconds from a previous 1m47s. It seems 2 display drivers at once conflict. I changed the drive to an SSD. Word etc now loads instantaneously. It's now a great machine

I posted that 4 years ago. You are a bit late! But shop around. You either want a legitimate "Retail License" which can be transfered to another machine as long as you deactivate it on the old one. There are also legitimate one off licenses/keys, for $10 - $20 USA, which can't be transfered. Here is an example:

hello people,i loved my dv 7,so i put win 8 on it ,i liked it so i went to win 10 then started having all kinds of problems with the mother board burning up,2 boards later i dont dare going to 10 again,im using win 7 and its fine.

buenas noches. Quisiera saber si alguien por aqui tendra la solucion a mi problema. Tengo una laptop Pavuilion dv7-6c95dx que compre en estados unidos hace un buen tiempo ya. Tiene un marco en el touchpad que se iluminaba de color blanco y que podias apagar y prender a voluntad. El detalle es que la computadora venia con windows 7 de fabrica y esta luz funcionaba muy bien, hasta que llego la actualizacion a windows 10, despues de eso no encendio la luz. la podia apagar y encender presionando Fn + espacio y ahora ni asi. Intente de todo desde actualizar controladores, asistencia por telefono, casi casi estaba por desasrmarla para cambiarl eltouchpad pensando que se dao. Total di por muerta la funcion de la luz. Hace un par de dias se actualizo mi windows no se por que o para que pero salieron nuevas caracteristicas y hoy presisamente trabajando normalmente en la oficina se enciende la luz del marco del touch.... solo!!!... y me sorprendi por que lo habia dado por muerto, despues de un rato se apago solo ni me di cuenta a que hora... y de repente parpadea como queriendo encender. Quiero preguntarles si es que por aqui hay alguien que pueda ayudarme a que la luz funcione correctamente de nuevo. Pregunte con las personas que se dedican a reparacion de computadoras y no saben que le pasa, me dicen que el touch pad no puede estar daado por que todo lo demas funciona, que si fuera el cable flex interno no funcionara nada y que les ha pasado con equipos anteriores que no quieren encender la red wifi con el boton del teclado y que segun ellos hay como una aplicacion de HP que se borra con las actualizaciones. Por favor alguien que me ayude con este problema.... estoy 101% seguro que los drivers de los componentes no son por que ya estuve revisandolos uno por uno y todos funcionan correctamente... solo me falta desarmar toda la maquina para checar ese cable flex que comunica el touch pad con la tarjeta madre... si alguien tiene la misma lap o el mismo problema y ya lo resolvio por favor les agradeceria me dijeran como le hago o que instalo para que funcione de nuevo... extrao esa licecita... gracias y saludos..

Si tienes instalada la versin 1803, de Microsoft 10-64 bits., puedes ver si tu ordenador fue controlado por HP, para verificar que sea 100% compatible y no tengas problemas, con la operacin del ordenador. Te lo envo, para confirmar, lo expuesto, en el anterior post.
