Dear PEtab community,

This is a call for nominations for one new PEtab editor to replace the outgoing editor Svenja Kemmer, beginning in March 2022. Here is the nominations entry page:

The nomination period ends at midnight CET on January 31st 2022.

The PEtab Editor election process is described on the following page: https://petab.readthedocs.io/en/develop/development.html#election-of-editors

The duties / privileges of the editors include tasks such as organizing polls, writing/updating specifications, organizing and announcing annual meetings / hackathons, promoting PEtab, managing the PEtab mailing lists and GitHub repositories, etc. The length of a PEtab editor's term is 3 years. The current PEtab Editors are listed here: https://petab.readthedocs.io/en/latest/editorial_board.html

The nominees will be asked whether they accept the nomination (nominees are given 5 days to accept). This step may start already during the nomination phase. The editors will then announce the nominees who accepted their nomination along with the submitted statements and open the poll via the PEtab mailing list.

Thank you for your consideration!

Fabian Fröhlich
on behalf of the PEtab editors
