PEtab Editor Election 2024 - Call for Votes

Dear PEtab community,

Thank you very much for your nominations for the new PEtab editors. We received 5 unique nominations, and 4 were accepted:
- Frank Bergmann
- Fabian Fröhlich
- Sebastian Höpfl
- Sebastian Persson

Elections are now open until midnight CET on Sunday, the 11th of February, 2024.

After the voting period, nominees with the most votes will be asked to accept or decline the position. If declined, the nominee with the next highest votes will be offered the position. The new editors will then be announced via this mailing list.

In March 2024, the new editors will begin their terms, and the terms of current editors, Jan Hasenauer and Daniel Weindl, will end.

Dear PEtab community,

Thanks for voting in the PEtab editor elections.

The results are:
Frank Bergmann received 10 votes.
Fabian Fröhlich received 11 votes.
Sebastian Höpfl received 0 votes.
Sebastian Persson received 7 votes.

Frank accepted their election.
Fabian (a former editor) accepted, on the condition that the other elected editor was not a former editor. As Frank was a former editor, Fabian therefore declined.
In accordance with our election policy [1], Sebastian Persson was elected. Sebastian Persson accepted their election.

A warm welcome to Frank Bergmann and Sebastian Persson. Many thanks to the departing editors, Jan Hasenauer and Daniel Weindl, for their valuable contributions.
