- Rescue Needed - Les Paul: altered male, 6yo, 83.4lbs Les Paul came to BARCS on 7/16 through Animal Control and is looking for a rescue partner who can help him find the stability and support he needs.   This sweet boy has quickly shown staff that he has a big heart and loves being around people. Les Paul enjoys starting his yard time by happily exploring with toys and taking in his surroundings before settling in for what he loves most, cuddles! Once he has had a chance to stretch his legs, he is all about soaking up affection from his favorite people.   Les Paul already knows "sit" and is eager to show off his good manners when treats are involved. Like many dogs in the shelter environment, he can become overwhelmed by the sights and sounds around him. Staff have observed frustration-based reactivity toward other dogs at barriers in the shelter setting. During dog interactions, he may initially appear stiff or avoidant and would benefit from slow introductions and a socially appropriate match. Professional training support is recommended to help him continue building confidence and learning positive coping skills.   Les Paul has also shown some high-arousal behaviors, including jumping and strong leash pulling, but he is a smart, treat-motivated dog who is ready to learn with the right guidance.   Les Paul has bilateral ear infections that are itchy and will require treatment and follow-up care.   This affectionate boy has so much potential and is ready for a rescue partner willing to help him thrive outside of the shelter environment.
