** URGENT**
Zeus Franklin
ID: A0060298164
Sex: Male
Age: 4 Years
Altered? No
Intake date: 2/23/2026
Dog sociability: Reactive at the shelter. Suggesting only dog home
Zeus is a big, goofy, affectionate boy who is struggling in the shelter environment and would benefit from rescue placement.
He has been friendly and wiggly with staff, enjoys walks, and loves playing fetch. Zeus is very people-oriented, leaning into pets and happily taking treats. He knows cues like sit and paw and is housetrained. Zeus previously lived with children, but due to his size and enthusiasm, older kids would likely be the best fit.
He has shown fixation on other dogs in the shelter, so he would currently do best as the only pet while continuing training outside of the shelter.
During medical handling, Zeus has been very reactive and will likely need sedation until he can be worked with on this. His previous home reported that he does not like his hind end touched. If a rescue wants to move forward, we will sedate and do his exam at the same time.
Zeus Franklin needs a rescue commitment by 3/18

Maverick
ID: A0060269997
Sex: Male
Age: 3 Years
Altered? No
Intake date: 02/15/2026
Dog sociability: Suggesting only dog home
Maverick is a smart, energetic boy who enjoys getting out for walks and spending time exploring the play yard. He is easy to leash with a trick leash, takes treats very gently, and knows cues like sit and down. When comfortable, Maverick will follow handlers around, check in for treats, and engage in training.
In the shelter, Maverick has shown dog reactivity, including barking and fence running when other dogs pass. He has also shown some concerning behavior during certain interactions, including stiffening and growling at new and familiar faces.
Outside of these moments, Maverick can be loose, wiggly, and engaged with people he trusts. The busy shelter environment appears to be increasing his stress, and he would benefit from placement with an experienced rescue that can provide a calmer setting and continued behavioral support. Maverick should be placed as the only pet at this time.

Ghostie
ID: A0058470216
Sex: Male
Age: 4 Years
Weight: 78 Lbs
Altered? Yes
Intake date: 1/30/26
Available date for placement: Immediately
Ghostie is a sweet, goofy, people-focused dog who thrives on human connection. Staff describes him as affectionate, wiggly, and happiest when he can lean into you for pets or relax with a chew outside of his kennel. He enjoys enrichment, engages well with handlers, and shows a loving, companion-type personality.
Ghostie was returned due to separation anxiety. When left alone, he panics and escapes confinement. His previous home reported that outside of his anxiety, he was a wonderful and affectionate dog, but his needs exceeded what they could manage while away for long workdays.
In the shelter, Ghostie is easy to handle overall but is a strong leash puller and due to consistent dog-directed fixation and stiffness, he is currently recommended as the only dog in the home. He has also shown some toy guarding tendencies that respond well to structured trade work.
Ghostie apppears to be healthy at this time.

Billy
ID: A0060143084
Sex: Male
Age: 2 Years
Altered? No
Intake date: 01/22/2026
Dog sociability: Reactive at the shelter. Suggesting only dog's home
Billy is a very sweet and affectionate boy who truly enjoys being close to people. When out of his kennel, he is laid-back and loves attention, happily sitting near staff and soaking up pets. He takes treats gently and has shown a gentle, wiggly personality once he feels comfortable. Billy can be a little nervous about the leash at first, but with patience, he warms up quickly and does well once he’s out for a walk.
Billy has shown concerning reactivity toward other dogs in the shelter, including fixation and kennel fighting behavior. Because of this, he should not be placed with other dogs at this time
Billy appears to be healthy at this time; however, he has very sensitive feet. The salt from the snow has caused his paw pads to bleed, and with kennel stress, he often paces around his kennel. He is currently getting his feet soaked and hot compressed.

Ebby 9
ID: A0059963471
Sex: Male
Age: 2 Years
Altered? No
Intake date: 12/17/2025
Dog sociability: Lived well with other dogs
Webber is a fearful dog who is struggling in the shelter and urgently needs a rescue to help him decompress. With familiar handlers, he is able to be leashed using treats, walks nicely on leash, stays close, and takes treats gently. He shows he wants to connect once he feels safe.
However, Webber is very sensitive to new people and sudden movement. When unfamiliar people enter his space, he panics, tucking his tail, retreating, pacing, and whining. In meet and greets, he shuts down, staying in corners and is unable to engage.
In a calm, quiet environment with a consistent person, Webber begins to relax and show his softer side. The shelter is simply too stressful for him, and he needs a low-traffic, experienced placement where he can decompress and build confidence at his own pace.
Medically, Ebby 9 came in emaciated and was on a feeding plan to appropriately gain weight, but is now of a healthy weight! We have also started him on anxiety meds to help with his stress.

Ebby 10 (Tracker)
ID: A0059963471
Sex: Male
Age: 2 Years
Altered? No
Intake date: 12/17/2025
Dog sociability: Lived well with other dogs
Ebby 10 is a sweet, affectionate young dog who has shown nothing but gentle, easygoing behavior while in our care. He walks nicely on leash, stays close to his handler, and seeks out attention, often leaning in for pets and happily accepting treats.
He originally came to us with 15 other dogs after his family lost their housing and could no longer care for them. Despite that upheaval, Ebby 10 came in quite shy but has made great progress on learning how to be a dog!
He has done well in meet and greets, showing a friendly and calm demeanor with new people, and has also coexisted well with another relaxed dog, even engaging in some playful interactions. Overall, he has been easy to handle with no behavioral concerns noted.
Ebby 10 was recently adopted but was being returned for reported destructiveness in the home. On the way to the car, he slipped away from his adopters and ended up on a 4-day adventure through Harford County neighborhoods before being safely recovered.
He came emaciated and was on a feeding plan. He is now at an appropriate weight and has no other medical concerns at this time.

Peaches
ID: A0059287435
Sex: Female
Age: 11 Years
Altered? Not yet!
Intake date: 9/2/25
Dog sociability: No other animals.
Peaches arrived to the shelter in September of 2025 due to an animal control case. She is a gentle, affectionate dog who continues to struggle with kennel stress and barrier reactivity but does very well once out of the kennel and away from the noise. We can’t blame her! 5 months is a long time!
When taken out of her kennel, she settles quickly, enjoys sniffing, sunbathing, soft bedding, and quiet companionship. In office settings, she relaxes on her bed, checks in periodically, and even alerts staff when she needs to go outside by nudging or going to the door. She enjoys stuffed toys and chews and seeks gentle affection, leaning in for pets and ear rubs.
Her primary challenge is reactivity when passing other dogs in close kennel proximity, particularly in tight hallways or when neighbors are barking. Outside of those moments, she is manageable and responsive.
Peaches has chronic arthritis in her rear legs, likely from a past CCL injury, with intermittent right hind lameness. Recent bloodwork (CBC/chem) is normal, so she can safely continue daily carprofen for pain management. She previously tested Lyme positive and completed treatment.
She is maintained long-term on carprofen, gabapentin, Cosequin, and omega-3s.
