Subject: URGENT! YOUNG MAMA IN NEED OF RESCUE PLACEMENT, STARTING WITH ANOREXIA AND DECLINING APPETITE/WEGHT

Nora, the sweet young momma, has found herself in need of urgent rescue placement for her medical concerns! 

 

Nora originally came to BCAS as a stray on the last day of July with her three babies. The kittens had gone to foster when it was noted they were old enough to be eating on their own and that momma was a little tapped out. Nora had her spay procedure completed on 8/5 and then was made available for adoption the next day. A day after that, she was diagnosed with a URI. She began treatment immediately, but with a couple more days it was noted that she was becoming anorexic and not eating + dropping weight. She got rechecked today and was continuing to exhibit weight loss, URI, and anorexia. Because of her condition and the fact that it is not improving here at the shelter, we here at BCAS are seeking an approved rescue partner to take her in, give her more undivided attention, and help her recover from this illness and help her climb out of the medical hole she has fallen into.  She has shown initiative to eat with stimulants.
