Sweet Kiarra is Ready to Find Her Forever Family
Sometimes all a dog needs is someone willing to give them just one minute.
Kiarra is a beautiful, **approximately 1-year-old, 32-pound** sweetheart who came to Granville County Animal Shelter as a stray after being found on Charlie Stovall Road with two other dogs. When she first arrived, she was frightened and completely shut down. The shelter was a scary place for this gentle girl.
But little by little, Kiarra has discovered that people can be kind...and now her true personality is shining.
She is a sweet, submissive girl who simply wants to love and be loved. It takes about **one minute** for her to decide you're her friend, and once she does, she's all about gentle pets, butt scritches, and spending time by your side.
Kiarra has done wonderfully during her meet-and-greets with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion. She loves going on walks with staff and volunteers, and every now and then she'll break into the cutest little zoomies before settling right back down. She's the perfect mix of playful and relaxed—happy to join you on a hike or curl up at home for a quiet evening.
One thing the shelter staff especially appreciates? **Kiarra keeps her kennel clean!** She's on a regular potty schedule and does an excellent job waiting to go outside, showing just what a wonderful house companion she'll be.
If you're looking for a loyal, loving dog with a gentle soul, Kiarra could be exactly who you've been waiting for.
