We are reaching out today with a time-sensitive plea for two Blue Heelers currently in a vulnerable situation. This pair, a male and a pregnant female, arrived as strays at the home of a local resident named Sue. Despite her efforts to locate their original owners, no one has come forward, and Sue is now in a position where she can no longer maintain their care.

These sweet dogs are currently living outdoors in dog houses with pine shavings; while they are being looked after, we are eager to get them into a more secure environment—especially for the expectant mother—before the puppies arrive. While they were understandably scared and shy when they first appeared, Sue has spent quality time with them and with help from treats and food reports that both have become friendly and affectionate. They have shown no signs of aggression or immediate health concerns, other than the pregnancy. Sue guesses they weigh around 20-30 pounds.

Sue is so committed to seeing them safe that she has generously offered to donate toward their healthcare or future spay and neuter costs to help ease the transition for a pulling partner. We are looking for a rescue that can provide the care these Cattle Dogs deserve as they move toward their forever homes.
