Subject: Help Us Rescue Sweet Lily Today!!! - Baltimore, MD
- Rescue Needed -
Lily: altered female, 1y7m, 55.8lbs
Lily came in as a stray on 4/15. She has shown herself to be a funny, sweet pup who enjoys interacting with people and is eager to please.
In the shelter environment, Lily has displayed stress-related behaviors, including jumping on handlers, pacing, and circling. She can become overwhelmed during play and may respond defensively when overstimulated.
Our training team recommends she should not be placed with dogs that have a high prey drive, as fast movement or yipping when she is overwhelmed may trigger a negative response from them.
Lily is also a previous bite victim, having sustained a neck injury that required drains. Careful, gradual introductions to other dogs are recommended.
She otherwise appears healthy, and a full medical summary can be provided upon request.
Please let us know if your organization can help!
Thank you,
The BARCS Rescue Team
