This is Google, intact male, 7yrs old, Stray, sweet, curious, 19lbs. He went to the vet to get his eyes checked out because they were inflamed and had dried out discharge.
He needs a dental, which we can do at the same time of his neuter. Heart, lungs, abdomen all normal. He has luxating patellas but does not have any problems getting around. His eyes appear to have a dry eye issue (Keratoconjuncitivitis sicca ou) where he does not make tears to keep them moist enough. He will need artificial tears (over the counter) eye drops 3-5 times a day for life and an eye med prescription called Optimmune for more than 12 weeks with a recheck after to see if he needs more. We are giving him both. The vet also did a Schirmer Tear Test ou which was negative.
Google is on a stray hold and can be released as of Thursday, the 23rd.
If you are an Animal Rescue and can take this pet, be sure to reply to this email by Wednesday night, 4/22/26, so I can make a note of it.
