We are unable to give rescues an unlimited amount of time to reply. This animal requires a rescue reply by Sunday night 7/26/26.ÂÂDO NOT POST THIS EMAIL ON FACEBOOK.ÂTHIS PET IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION DUE TO HIS REACTION AROUND FOOD AND CERTAIN DOGS.ÂPermission is not granted for posting the contents of this email on social mediaÂPermission is not granted to change the wording in this email if you forward this email.ÂThis is Leo, 11 months old, just neutered male, found dog with no owner. He reminds us of a Doodle or Tibetan Terrier type. He weighs 24lbs. He came in matted and we started shaving his mats. With his color, we first thought Schnoodle but he doesn’t act like a Schnauzer.ÂSilly and friendly personality, doesn’t have training yet, I was able to get him under control quickly with a one on one visit just him and I off leash. Gets excited quickly and loses control of his mind, needs a quick, mild correction and needs you to keep his attention and he is so much happier when you do. He stopped jumping and barking after one correction. He sat, laid down, waited and was sweet.ÂÂThere is just too much going on here for him. He humps adopter’s and volunteer’s legs who do not understand dog behavior. He never tried to hump my leg during my interaction with him.ÂÂWe just neutered him and we planned to adopt him out, however we can no longer adopt him out because it was found he will guard over his food. He is workable with his food guarding as well.ÂÂHe is a smart dog and if you are dog savvy, you will not have a hard time with him. He played with me, ran around, rolled over for belly rubs and was really sweet once I settled him down.ÂÂHe has been good with our other small dogs and listens when we tell him to be easy. He can be pesky but he stops with correction and we have him loose in the yard with the others. We introduced him to a large female dog yesterday but for some reason, he was not comfortable and got defensive when she came over to say hi.Â
ÂÂIf you are able to take this pet, be sure to reply to this email by Sunday night, 7/26/26, so I can make a note of it.ÂÂ
