Biscuit comes to us as a stray with hindlimb lameness. Upon further evaluation, we’ve learned Biscuit has a distal left femoral fracture.

 

The fracture is very close to the growth plate which makes surgical repair challenging. We are urgently needing to secure rescue placement so he can receive a higher level of veterinary care which will require surgical options such as amputation or fracture repair with a pin.

 

While with us, we will be closely monitoring Biscuit’s pain levels and keeping him comfortable with medication. This boy just a few months old and has what we hope will be a long life ahead of him

 

We’ve named him Biscuit for what we think are fairly obvious reasons, despite being in discomfort the bakery demands orders!
