Hello,

Pickens County Animal Shelter is seeking urgent rescue placement for the dogs listed below.

All dogs are dog friendly and heartworm negative unless otherwise noted.
Sadie, Ghost, and Mercedes need placement by February 14.
We can complete Sadie’s heartworm treatment with rescue confirmation and a confirmed pickup date.

⏰ NEED PLACEMENT BY FEBRUARY 14

 

Mercedes – 3 yrs, female, 47 lbs
Heartworm treatment completed 1/22 & 1/23. Dog friendly, cat friendly, good on leash.

Sadie – 5 yrs, female, 48 lbs, HW+, NO CATS
Dog friendly, NO CATS knows sit and shake. Pulls strongly on leash.

Ghost – 4 yrs, male, 49 lbs, NO CATS
Dog friendly, NO CATS knows sit. Pulls strongly on leash.

 

🐾 ADDITIONAL DOGS

Wilder – 1 yr, male, 50 lbs
Dog friendly, rough play style. Pulls strongly on leash.

Joey – 4 months, male, 13 lbs
One blue eye. Dog and cat friendly, good on leash.

Jersey – 4 months, female, 16 lbs
Dog and cat friendly, good on leash.

Abe – 7 yrs, male, 50 lbs, High HW+ Fast kill treatment at the shelter may not be the best option for him. 
Dog friendly, good on leash.

Blake – 10 yrs, male, 67 lbs
Senior. Dog friendly, chatty in kennel, ok on leash.

These dogs were just surrendered to us; they are all currently at surgery will get updated pictures later. 

Ellie – 3 yrs, female, 76 lbs, HW+
Large, dog friendly girl in need of rescue support.

Cooper – 3 yrs, male, 30 lbs
Beagle mix. Dog friendly.

Vienna – 2 yrs, female, 29 lbs
Dog friendly.

 

 

If your rescue can assist with any of these dogs, especially those with the February 14 deadline, please let me know as soon as possible.
