TIME IS UP 7/06 NEEDS RESCUE COMMITMENT ASAP to avoid E-list

Breed: Great Dane & Husky mix

Age: 4 ½ years & 1 ½ years

Sex: Males Unneutered

Weight: 120 lbs & 43 lbs

Heartworm Status: Heartworm Negative x2

Dog-friendly? Yes

Notes/What We Know: These sweet boys... what a pair.️ They were found together as strays, and it's hard to believe no one has come looking for them yet. Both Roo and Eeyore are incredibly gentle, friendly, and mellow. They love people, enjoy affection, and simply want to be together. Eeyore arrived a little emaciated and could use some good meals, love, and time to regain his strength. Their bond is undeniable—Roo becomes extremely distressed whenever he's separated from his beloved Eeyore. After everything they've been through, they deserve a soft place to land together. Splitting them up would break Roo's heart. They're looking for a family willing to open their home to both boys so they can spend the rest of their lives side by side, just as they've always known.

URGENT: We are currently over capacity, and  we are losing 18 kennels due to renovations. As an open-admission shelter, we cannot stop the intake of stray animals. All animals who have passed their hold times are at immediate risk once their hold time is up. Firm commitments with pickup dates are urgently needed to prevent euthanasia

Lexington County Services in Lexington, South Carolina is in need of assistance placing these dogs with a rescue! These are available to a 501c3 rescue only.  We do exhaust every resource possible but unfortunately due to overcrowding dogs do become at risk of being euthanized. We can provide additional photos, video, vaccines, heartworm tests, health certificates, RABIES VACCINES or any behavioral assessments that may be needed

Please make sure all communication is done via email to     LCASR...@lex-co.com

so that we can keep track of all communications.  We do have a phone used for rescue to call during an emergency or when we are away from the office such as transporting. The phone number is 803-465-5726. We respond to rescue inquiries Monday through Friday 8am-5pm(EST) and it is checked regularly. We offer free transportation Monday through Friday during business hours locally which would be the area of Lexington County, City of Columbia, or Richland County. Our staff is very passionate about getting all of these wonderful dogs to safety and will help in any way possible!

When inquiring about a dog, an animal ID number is required and not just their name.

Include a note at the end of every email stating what rescue you are with.
