Shannana came to BARCS as a stray on 7/18 and is looking for a rescue partner to help her on the next step of her journey.
This gentle girl has quickly won over staff with her sweet nature. Shannana is friendly, easy to handle, and enjoys spending time with people once she is out of her kennel. While she can be timid in the shelter environment, she has consistently shown a kind demeanor and has been cooperative during handling and care.
Like many dogs struggling with the stress of shelter life, Shannana has displayed barrier reactivity toward people while in her kennel. Outside of that setting, she is social and approachable. She has also met other dogs at the shelter and has shown herself to be a gentle companion.
Shannana has an underbite, periodontal disease, and a growth or mass that will require further evaluation. A full medical summary can be provided to approved rescue partners.
Shannana is a sweet, deserving girl who would greatly benefit from a calmer environment where her true personality can shine. BARCS is seeking a rescue partner willing to provide the medical follow-up and loving care she needs to thrive.
