Maybelle 114866 - female, 8yrs/44lbs, HW positive

Medical: Information for potential adopters/rescues: Maybelle has multiple medical conditions. We have started treatment for her conditions and to make her more comfortable, but some of these conditions, such as her arthritis and hip dysplasia, can only be managed not cured. Her x-rays show evidence of changes that can be seen with heartworm disease, but considering her new heart murmur, we cannot fully rule out underlying cardiac disease. She will need to wait until her steroids are done to evaluate her chest x-rays and revisit surgical planning for her mammary masses. Though her mammary masses appear removable, it is important that Maybelle has somewhere to recover post-op outside of the shelter. Due to Maybelle's medical conditions she is at higher risk during spay, mass removal and during heartworm treatment. If an adopter or rescue wanted further evaluation of Maybelle's condition prior to any anesthetic events, such as bloodwork or an echocardiogram, they would need to follow-up with their private veterinarian or a cardiologist (heart specialist).

Intake date: 9/2, public stray
Found wandering around where the finder was playing pickleball at around 10 this morning.
