Subject: URGENT!! 10+ Cats in Need of Rescue ASAP! (Baldwin, MD)

Baltimore County Animal Services took in a group of cats from a hoarding situation over a week ago and all of the kitties were in pretty rough shape, most suffering from some degree of an upper respiratory infection. Some are more outgoing than others and some are a bit tricky to medicate or don’t want to be handled. There is more information about each below! We have them started on treatment plans and medication and are starting to see improvements but the shelter is no place for sick cats to recover. Even if your rescue can only pull one of these cats, that would be extremely helpful. Full medical summaries are available upon request!  

 

RESCUE ONLY due to medical and/or behavioral concerns

 

Houdini #1863 – female, 8 months old, improving URI, 5lbs,hissing upon approach, does not want to be touched, behaviorally declining, once healthy may be a good working cat candidate

 

Tarzan #1750 -male, 4 years old, improving URI, at front of cage, vocal, but when attempting to interact he retreats and avoids, once healthy may be a good working cat candidate

 

Bonks #1728 -, female, 2 years old, currently on a bite hold, but was at the front rubbing on the bars, may overstimulate

 

Pretty Oak #1720: female, 6 months old, URI, orange tabby, 4.6lbs, calm but friendly

 

Flow Oak #1714: female, 1 year old, ulcerated paw pads, tortie, 6lbs, needs work on socialization

 

Chicken Legs Oak #1726: 1 year old, URI, male, 6.1lbs, very friendly!

Chunk Oak #1724: female, 3  years old, URI, not eating well, orange tabby, 9.3lbs

 

 

Available for Foster or Rescue:

Flower #1752: female, 3 years old,6.8lbs, URI, may need some socialization

 

Patty #1864: female, torbie, 3 years old, 8lbs, very friendly!!

Wildman Oak #1728: 1 year old, orange male, URI and ulcerated paw paws, 8lbs, a bit timid but warms up with time, may need experienced foster to medicate
