How are you Rescue Partners, 

 

We are reaching out for rescue placement for Papa Starbucks (A571047), a 3-year-old neutered male Pit Bull who came to us as a stray on June 9th and has been waiting for his chance ever since. Six weeks in a kennel is a long time for a dog with this much life in him.

 And he does have life in him. Ask anyone here about mornings: Papa Starbucks is the dog who can’t wait to get out and start his day — bright, bouncing, thrilled at the sight of a leash and the promise of a walk. That kind of joy is impossible to fake and impossible to miss.

In playgroup, he’s shown a gentle, almost dainty play style — surprisingly soft for a boy his size — and he’s genuinely social and friendly with other dogs. He does best with thoughtful playmate matching and an adopter or rescue comfortable reading canine body language, and given that, he’s a joy to be around.

He’s a friendly, playful, deeply enthusiastic boy who has spent six weeks watching people walk past his kennel — and who lights up every single morning anyway, still hoping today is the day. Dogs like him don’t lose their spark easily, but no dog should have to hold onto it this long alone.

He’s ready. He’s been ready. He just needs a rescue to say yes.
