Chutney and Gobber were previously adopted and will be surrendered Feb 9 after the person

was no longer able to care for them. 

Both puppies are very social and do well with other dogs, strangers, and children. 

Surrender Date: 2/09 

 

These dogs are still with the person and they are trying to avoid the shelter! We will try our best to get an answer or testing requests done.  The dates are their surrender dates that the person will bring the dogs to the shelter.  If a rescue commitment is made, we try to ask the person to bring the dog to the shelter on the day the dog is leaving for transport.

 

Lexington County Services in Lexington, South Carolina is in need of assistance placing these dogs with a rescue! These are available to a 501c3 rescue only.  We do exhaust every resource possible but unfortunately due to overcrowding dogs do become at risk of being euthanized once surrendered. We can provide additional photos (through the owner), video, vaccines, heartworm tests, health certificates, Rabies vaccines or any behavioral assessments that may be needed.  Please make sure all communication is done via email 

 

to lcasr...@lexingtoncounty.sc.gov so that we can keep track of all communications.  We do have a phone used for rescue to call during an emergency or when we are away from the office such as transporting. The phone number is 803-465-5726. 

 

We respond to rescue inquiries Monday through Friday 8am-5pm (EST) and it is checked regularly. We offer free transportation Monday through Friday during business hours locally which would be the area of Lexington County, City of Columbia, or Richland County. Our staff is very passionate about getting all of these wonderful dogs to safety and will help in any way possible! 

When inquiring about a dog, an animal ID number is required and not just their name. Include a note at the end of every email stating what rescue you are with.
