Rescues,

We urgently need help with these dogs at Pickens County Animal Shelter. We need rescue commitments no later than Monday, August 17 at 3 PM. If you can help with even one, please reach out.

🚨 9 PUPPIES + MAMA SEVEN

Seven – 3-year-old, 52 lb female
Heartworm positive, dog friendly, owner surrender.

9 puppies – approximately 5 weeks old, 2–4 lbs each
5 females and 4 males. Owner surrenders.

The puppies are very young and need rescue placement where they can receive the care and attention they need.

🚨 SMALL DOGS

Gertrude – Female, small dog - came in with Gomez 
URGENT. We are unable to safely handle her at all and she needs experienced rescue placement.

Gomez – 6-year-old male, 15 lbs
Can be shy at first but warms up to people.

Bubba – Small/medium male - came in with Forrest and Lt. Dan 
URGENT. We are also unable to safely handle him.

Forrest – 9-year-old male, 10 lbs
Must stay with Lt. Dan. Owner surrender.

Lt. Dan – 9-year-old male, 7 lbs
Must stay with Forrest. Owner surrender.

Tim – 5-year-old male, 15 lbs Friendly. NO DEADLINE FOR HIM YET 

Juliette – 7-year-old female, 51 lbs, heartworm positive, owner surrender

Please let me know if your rescue can commit to any of these dogs. We desperately need to get them out of the shelter.

No pickups are available Wednesdays or Sundays.
